Direct Express is the worst card I have ever used.
1. It is sometimes
impossible to reach customer service.
2. I can’t transfer money to another card except for a 50 dollar amt per day.
3. I can only pay one bill per day.
4. They do not reimburse funds lost from unauthorized purchases including lost card purchases, unless they deem the transactions unauthorized.
*I have lost over $200 made with a lost card, and close to $300 from online fraud. I have repeatedly called about my withdrawal limit and they say I’m tier 4 and should not be restricted. They fix it and it works for a few transactions and then goes right back to restricted. And they are not a bank….no routing or account numbers which causes a lot of problems because it looks like a prepaid debit. The app is close to useless.. They charge for paper statements but seldom send them.. I would like to know why the government made this card their #1 choice. It’s horrible. I wonder if people are being scammed out of the money that Direct Express has chosen not to reimburse? You send them paperwork as proof but they don’t give you the.money…so who gets it?…who puts that refund in their pocket? Big question:

I was looking at insurance options. The customer service representative connected took my information. I was not eligible. I received a letter about that two of my children were eligible for Medicaid. We did not request this. I also got one for my daughter and I.
I was not applying for these benefits. All I wanted to know was the eligibility of the Medical Insurance which I am not eligible. I am not eligible for Medicaid. Not sure how or why applications were submitted because I did not request them. It upsets me because I was not even asked “are you applying for HHS Medicaid services. My family is not eligible.

Who else woke up yesterday morning and didn’t have their money on their direct express card? I woke and went to pay my bills like I do every month and there’s nothing on my card so I can pay my bills so I don’t have to worry.
